Cockatiel

This little cockatiel was created for a dear friend who had two cockatiels that more or less ruled his life. He preferred this version because it didn’t involve cleaning the cage or doing the never-ending laundry chores to restore his shirts to wearable condition again (bird droppings on the shoulders!).

The birds were named Fred and Syd but surprisingly began laying eggs. A beautiful little offspring was the result!

The names of the parent birds became a concern to my pal, but his worry was dismissed when we later decided they were named after dancing partners Fred Astaire and Syd Charisse!
