Acrylic on Canvas
Four panels, each panel 30” x 60”
This large-scale piece was the first of several “Murphy’s Law” paintings. (“Whatever CAN — go wrong, WILL.”) It's, again, the artist’s interpretation of an environmental cry for humanity’s stewardship of our Canadian wilderness.
The viewer will note the thin red line at the top of the first panel, and then in the second panel the red line becomes thicker. The third panel shows the red is blocking almost half of the iconic Mt. Rundle wilderness scene. The final panel shows all of that red finally obliterating the sight of the entire pristine wilderness area, almost as though a window blind is being lowered to obstruct the view.
With this painting, the artist aspires to reach the knowledgeable person’s understanding of the ecological threat to our planet that might be grasped upon contemplation of this piece.
